"Hallelujah" This deeply moving Leonard Cohen song, in my subjective opinion, speaks to the seemingly impossible difficulty of lasting true union between man and woman. Among the many other artists who have recorded and performed covers of this song are Bono, Clare Bowditch, Rufus Wainwright, John Cale, Jeff Buckley, Allison Crowe, Julie Felix, Anthony Michael Hall, and k.d. lang. Counting live performances, the list includes Gavin DeGraw, The Dresden Dolls, Bob Dylan, Damien Rice, Regina Spektor, Sub Rosa, and Kathryn Williams. I wanted to approach this song in a manner different than any other I'd heard, hence the multi-tracked/voiced acappella version for you here.
